About me
Born in Cuneo with a passion (or I should say obsession) for Chinese language and culture and for foreign languages in general.
At age 30 I decided to turn back to school. I entered the university in Cuneo called “Scuola Superiore per Mediatori Linguistici Adriano Macagno” to study what I’ve always loved. I graduated in Translating and Interpreting, with a thesis written in Chinese and in English entitled 中文成语:汉语与英语之间的翻译策略 (Chinese chengyu: translation strategies between Chinese and English) at the aforementioned university where I studied 3 languages + 1: English, Spanish and Chinese which were part of my study plan and Russian, in which I took part out of curiosity and, some say, masochism.
From February to June 2019 I worked at “Spazio Insieme” in Bagnolo Piemonte as cultural mediator, helping Chinese primary and secundary school children doing their homework.
In September 2019, I attended a four-day Chinese-Italian translation workshop, organized by the Confucius Institute of Turin and in Novembre 2019 I obtained the HSK4 certificate at the Confucius Institute of Turin with the score of 270⁄300.
At the moment I work as a translator for Chinese people, primarily in schools but also hospitals.
What I hope is to become a translator and work with languages. In particular, I would like to venture in the field of editorial translation, dealing with book and/or articles.
